Andrew Samson, Esq.

Andrew Samson, a founding partner at Baron Samson LLP, primarily handles civil and criminal litigation in New Jersey and New York. 

His civil practice has included a wide variety of commercial litigation matters, with an emphasis on litigating complex cases for corporations and insurers. He has unique expertise in pursuing subrogation and other recovery claims on behalf of insurers often arising from commercial crime policies through which he has recovered more than $10 million for his clients. Mr. Samson regularly represents corporations and public entities as to contract and negligence claims stemming from commercial and construction matters. He has also successfully litigated whistleblower, civil rights and personal injury claims, disputes involving partnerships and closely held businesses, and environmental, professional and other administrative law matters. 

Mr. Samson’s criminal practice includes all indictable, non-indictable and municipal matters venued in the federal, state and municipal courts. He has been the municipal prosecutor for the Vicinage 2 Municipal Court, Bergen County since 2003, and the municipal prosecutor for the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Court since 2009. 

Mr. Samson’s corporate practice involves handling all aspects of commercial and business transactions including mergers and acquisitions. He regularly handles -- from the negotiation phase through closing -- a wide array of corporate transactions ranging from the ordinary to highly complex.

Mr. Samson’s legal career commenced as an assistant prosecutor in the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office. In that office, he was largely assigned to the trial section where he prosecuted all forms of street and white collar crimes including more than 20 jury trials. For his service, he was the recipient of a Bergen County Board of Chosen Freeholders Certificate of Commendation and Bergen County Executive Certificate of Commendation in 1996. Thereafter, he was a partner at the firm of Wolff & Samson PC in West Orange, New Jersey where he handled and supervised all types of commercial litigation and insurance subrogation cases.

Mr. Samson received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Michigan and a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
